Opening the Lesson

The opening stage aims to prepare students for learning and create a positive classroom atmosphere.

Objectives

At this stage, teachers should:

  • greet students;
  • build rapport;
  • check attendance;
  • motivate students;
  • introduce the lesson topic;
  • explain the learning objectives.

Example:

  • Good morning, everyone.
  • How are you today?
  • I hope you are doing well.
  • Today we are going to learn about Demand and Supply.
  • By the end of today's lesson, you will be able to explain the concept of demand and identify the factors that influence it.
