Why Should Economic Education Students Learn English?

English is no longer a foreign language used only for international communication. Today, English has become an important professional skill for teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and business practitioners.

As future economics teachers, students are expected to:

  • teach using bilingual learning materials;
  • access international books and journals;
  • participate in international seminars;
  • communicate with colleagues from different countries;
  • guide students to compete globally.

Besides becoming teachers, many graduates of Economic Education become entrepreneurs. Therefore, they need English to communicate with customers, promote products, negotiate with business partners, and understand international business trends.
