Introduction to Organic
Chemistry Research is
an elective course offered in the advance semester (odd/even semester), with
the emphasis on Introduction and Knowledge of Work
Safety in the Organic Chemistry Laboratory
including Introduction how to make research notes and
how to interpret physical data on compounds from the Handbook, Introduction to
drying methods and drying agents as well as introduction to how to handle
chemicals in the laboratory, distillation theory and techniques, how to Reflux
Principles and Techniques, the Principles and Techniques of Recrystallization
and Sublimation, extraction, chromatography, and Case Study in the form of
project-based learning.
