Organic Chemistry I introduces fundamental concepts of organic chemistry, including molecular structure, bonding, nomenclature, stereochemistry, and reactivity of organic compounds. This course emphasizes the relationship between molecular structure and chemical properties through the study of alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkenes, alkynes, and organohalides. Students will develop the ability to analyze organic structures, predict chemical behavior, explain reaction mechanisms, and apply basic organic chemistry principles in solving problems related to organic reactions and synthesis. Learning activities include lectures, problem-solving exercises, tutorials, assignments, and evaluations to strengthen conceptual understanding and analytical skills.
