This course aims to enable students to understand accounting concepts and the utility of financial statements; the stages of the accounting cycle for service and merchandising companies; and the concepts, procedures, and techniques for recording and presenting items such as cash and bank balances, accounts receivable, notes receivable, merchandise inventory, fixed assets, intangible assets, current liabilities, payroll and income tax, financing, stock investments, long-term debt, and manufacturing accounting within financial statements, in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards.
