Politik Global REG A Ganjil 2026/2027

Global Politics is a compulsory course in the curriculum of the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of Lampung (Unila), which students take in their third semester. This course introduces students to the history and development of global politics, as well as the relationships between politics, geography, and information technology, and the future of global politics. The concepts and theories covered include the state, regionalism, globalization, and other global political theories relevant to International Relations (IR) perspectives, such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theory.

Students will also be introduced to various contemporary issues in global politics, particularly in East Asia and the Middle East, including the actors involved, key issues, and dynamics of competition. The course focuses on developing knowledge and skills in a balanced manner while also addressing learning outcomes related to attitudes and values. Accordingly, coursework combines substantive knowledge with the use of basic technologies, such as creating graphs and videos.
