Welcome to the course State Theory (Ilmu Negara), a foundational subject in constitutional law that explores the philosophical, juridical, and sociological foundations of the state. This course examines the origin, purpose, and functions of the state; theories of sovereignty; various forms and systems of government; and the interrelationship between the state, law, and religion. By studying State Theory, students will gain a deeper understanding of how the state emerges, operates, and legitimizes its authority within the legal order, as well as how it serves as a rational and ethical organization that upholds justice, order, and the common good.

Class will be conducted through in-person classes as well as online sessions using VClass, Google Meet, and other digital platforms.
