Kimia Bahan Makanan course, which has 2 credits, serve to assist students studying in the study of chemical aspects of food, especially the composition of chemicals, their properties and roles in foodstuffs and their changes during the processing process.

After taking this course, students are able to explain about: water, carbohydrates in food, protein in food, lipids in food, vitamins & minerals, in food, food coloring, food flavoring, sweeteners, toxic compounds in food ingredients, food preservation.
