English Literature ED21A

This course is designed to equip students with literary knowledge. Students are required to understand the history and stages of English literature development by comprehending basic theories of literature, literary elements and by studying the stages of English language development and English literary genre. Besides, students are also expected to have knowledge of English literature based on the era, writers and their literary works, as well as to practice studying and relating the themes of English literature to the socio-cultural context.
