Dr. Rudi Natamiharja, S.H., DEA. is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Law, University of Lampung, Indonesia. He teaches courses in international law, philosophy, and fundamental rights at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level.

He received his Bachelor of Law (S.H.) from Universitas Lampung, Master of Fundamental Law (DEA) and Doctor of Law degree from Aix Marseille University, France. Since January 2019 he holds a position of Head of Department of International Law, Universitas Lampung.

Natamiharja is an active researcher whose focus on Fundamental Rights including International Lawand Freedom of Expression. He participated at the 9th World Human Rights Cities Forum 2019 in Gwangju, South Korea, presenting full paper on how Institutional and Cultural Approaches for Strengthening Human Right Cities. In December 2019 he received an award from Universitas Pertahanan, Bogor, Indonesia as the second-best paper presenting full paper “International and National Legal Mutualism on the Spirit of State Defense Principles”.

He also wrote papers relating to Islamic law “a comparison of Islamic law and humanitarian law regarding the treatment of prisoners of war” (2003) and “Intersection Principles between Islamic and International Humanitarian Law” (2019).
