COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

The Strategic Human Resource Management course is a compulsory subject for HR management concentration students. This Strategic Human Resource Strategy course is designed to help students develop an understanding of how human resource decisions contribute to business performance and align with the company's operational strategy. The focus of the discussion is on the relationship between the human resource function, the development and implementation of strategies and human resource activities that are long-term and strategic. The integrative approach is the main theme in the discussion of topics on the function of human resource management. More specifically, this course discusses important topics in the form of the relationship between organizational strategy, strategic capability and human resource strategy. At the initial meeting, students are introduced to conventional Human Resource Management (HRM) functions. The discussion of conventional HRM functions is carried out only in a strategic context. This course is important to be mastered by students considering that intellectual capital (human/intellectual capital) which is increasingly relied upon as the main sustainable competitive advantage base for organizations must be managed with a strategic approach combined with the dynamics of global economic development.
