In this course, students know the relationship between biochemistry and microbiology, general classification of microorganisms, microorganism nutrition, techniques related to handling microorganisms (isolation, screening, sterilization, cultivation, storage and recultivation), techniques for identification and quantification of microorganisms and the application of microorganisms in various fields. After taking this course, students are expected to understand better how to handle microbes and their applications in various fields.
