The main theme of this lecture discusses portfolio and investment in tradable securities, how an investor should make decisions about securities selection, how to determine the value of a financial asset, how extensive an investment should be and determine when an investment should be carried out. In addition, this lecture is intended to provide a framework and concepts on how to maximize welfare and how to increase the present value of assets and future values. In this lecture, students will be given an understanding of investment, investment instruments, how to optimize investment returns through portfolio diversification and how to handle risks that are guaranteed by using existing instruments in the market and the strategies that must be taken.
