This course offers a comprehensive introduction to advance organic chemistry. Students who successfully complete it will develop a cohesive understanding of the physical and chemical properties of carboxylic acid compounds and their derivatives, as well as their synthesis methods. Additionally, students will understand amine, polycyclic and heterocyles compounds, pericyclic reactions, carbocations, carbanions, free radicals, and carbenes. Students are also introduced to an example of an application of organic chemistry related to polymer synthesis
