Econometrics I is an analytical tool course in economics that combines economics, mathematics and statistics. This course is an introductory course containing the principles of econometrics and data analysis that presents an introduction to econometrics in the form of simple regression and multiple regression and a series of introductions to methods used to analyze economic and business data and various other disciplinary data related to economics and business.

Econometrics I is a skill tool course that discusses various estimation models. This course is important for students of the Development Economics study program, considering that quantitative methods for economic analysis have no small role. The subject matter of this course includes the definition and role of econometrics, regression analysis, classical assumptions, hypothesis testing, variable selection and functional form, testing classical assumptions and introduction to advanced topics of econometrics. This course emphasizes results-based learning (OBE) by targeting analytical skills, interpretation of estimation results, and the use of econometric software.
