This course introduces the fundamental principles of mineralogy, including the composition, structure, properties, crystallization, classification, and identification of minerals. It covers crystallography, optical mineralogy, rock-forming and economic minerals, and mineral characterization using X-ray diffraction. The course also discusses the relationships between minerals, rocks, and their industrial applications.
